We are seeking and accepting donations to further this work in progress. All donations are tax deductible (as allowed by law). At your request, we will provide an itemized statement of your gifts.
As we rehabilitate and renovate our various buildings, we find ourselves in need of quality construction materials of every type. One of our major undertakings will be restoring the original log cabin (the Halverson Lodge) that was constructed in the early 1800s. Our hope is to save as much of the original outer structure as possible, while using the interior spaces for a conference and meeting center and a dining area (with a full commercial-grade kitchen.) Our needs for the day and residential camps are great. We are seeking supplies for arts and crafts programs, books and museum-quality displays for a planned nature center, equipment to study astronomy--a planetarium is hoped for, field games, picnic tables and pavilions for outdoor dining and camping. We want to offer instruction in performing and visual arts, woodworking, swimming, pottery crafting, outdoor and nature awareness, physical fitness, etc...
Our goals are lofty, but attainable--with your help and support.
